Nick Pongracz

Nick grew up in Ontario, Canadan before he came to the U.S. to ride with Jacob at the age of 17. That year, and the year following, he qualified and competed at various medal finals and the prestigious ASPCA Maclay Finals. He then went on to spend the summer in Europe working under show jumping royalty Margie Goldstein-Engle before officially declaring his professional status.

In 2022, Nick was ranked 2nd overall in the Canadian U25 standings, and has acquired multiple circuit champion and reserve champion titles in the young hunter divisions at the Winter Equestrian Festival in the past years.

“My goal for Hickory Ridge is to produce successful horsemen at all levels, from ponies to grand prix. As leaders, it is my and Jacob’s prerogative to set an example of a good work ethic, dedicated horsemanship, kindness to our peers, and enjoyment of the sport. I aim to instill those same priorities in each of our clients while helping them achieve their goals at the highest level!”
