Jacob Pope
Jacob is an avid professional equestrian with an extensive background in showing horses and correct horsemanship. His long-time passion for training horses and coaching riders makes him a great choice for everyone looking to compete in hunters, equitation, and show jumpers.
Trained up the ranks by Streett Moore of the renowned McDonogh School, Jacob won the 2011 Emerging Athletes Program National finals. This opened the door for him to attend the invitation-only George H. Morris Horsemastership Clinic where he would meet and begin training with Andre Dignelli, equitation trainer extraordinaire, and his Heritage Farm team. Under Dignelli, Jacob won both the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search –East and the ASPCA Maclay National Finals titles.
He has won several hunter derbies, including the 2017 inaugural Deeridge Hunter Derby on J’adore. Equally successful in the jumper ring, Jacob literally “enjoys the ride” with every ride and competes in young horse classes up through 3* FEI Grand Prix and everything in between.
As a trainer, the success and enjoyment of every client is equally as important to him. He looks forward to continuing to train all divisions, particularly nurturing kids in the equitation ranks and watching them, full circle, enjoy success at the equitation Finals as he did.
